Hi,
I just found poMMo by chance a few moments ago.
It looks very promising, and as a regular user of PHPLIST, from which I wouldn't mind moving away when an alternative comes up, I would like to list a few fundamental features which absence in poMMo at this moment prevent me from considering migrating for now.
- automated bounce management (this is something PHPLIST is rather good at)
- system should be able to report email addresses on domains that don't exist anymore
(PHPLIST just reports it could not send to that email, rather stupidly)
- email blacklisting (to prevent re-inscribing a user who opted-out, mainly)
should be automatic on unsubscribing, and possible manually
- insert inline images in email body (linked emails just aren't enough)
- an easy way to integrate the subscription/unsubscription functions into the normal website (with AJAX/JQUERY)
=> PHPLIST is just horrible for that
=> subscription system should also allow to redirect from confirmation email to a page chosen by admin (rather than on imposed by system)
- maybe some possibility to assign group automatically based on domain (to separate mobile phone emails from PC emails, for example)
- good way to follow who got what message when, etc... a historical record of relation with each subscriber.
Some of the above may already be planned or integrated into poMMo, I did not check thoroughly, but anyway, these are things I consider as important, so I thought I should let you guys now.
Anyway, keep the good work going and know that I will be looking forward to swapping to poMMo as soon as the soft has reached maturity (which seems to be soon).
Best,
Coren
